Western Cape Police have arrested three people for allegedly raping a woman in Worcester.
The suspects apparently raped and robbed the victim in the Hexpark area, on Tuesday.
She was admitted to a local health facility due to the cuts and bruises she had on her face.
Police spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk, says the perpetrators will appear in the local magistrate’s court on Thursday.
“Three suspects aged between 22 and 30 were arrested on Tuesday at about 10:00 in the same area where the incident happened. The suspects were pointed out by the victim in the presence of the police and community. The robbery and sexual assault dockets have been registered at Worcester SAPS for investigation. This case docket was transferred to Worcester FCS for further investigation”.
