Transport Minister, Barbara Creecy, says steps are being taken to improve efficiency at the Port of Cape Town.
But adds that significant improvements will only be visible over time.
Creecy held meetings with Transnet Port authorities yesterday to get a better sense of the inefficiencies hampering the harbour and what the solutions are.
The Port of Cape Town has been slammed by the likes of the DA, for missing its targets over several months this year.
