Western Cape Police have confirmed another group killing in Khayelitsha, Cape Town.

Three people were gunned down in Simon Nxala Street, Harare, on Monday evening.

It’s understood a group of people were having drinks when unknown gunmen approached and opened fire at them.

Two men and a woman – all aged between 30 and 33 – died on the scene.

Provincial spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa said, “The shooting incident is alleged to have occurred at 22:00 in Simon Nxala Street where the victims were sitting and drinking at the back of the premises. Two other persons were injured during the shooting. Harare Police have opened murder and attempted murder dockets for investigation”.

This is third mass killing in the Khayelitsha area in a space of a month.

In March, five people were killed in the Endlovini informal settlement, and a week later six murdered in Enkanini informal settlement.
