There’s still no sign of three people after they were washed away by a gushing river on a farm in Rawsonville.

Eight people on a tractor-trailer were crossing a bridge over the Jan Du Toit River on Sunday when they were swept away.

Three people are confirmed dead, while two children have been rescued.

But Western Cape Disaster Managment says three others are nowhere to be found.

Cape Town police’s Frederick Van Wyk says their divers will return to the waters on Wednesday.

“We’ve opened a death inquest case for further investigation,” says Van Wyk.
