The body of a 17-year-old girl has been found in Hanover Park.
According to reports, Jehaan Petersen had been missing for some time, before her body was found dumped in a field on Sunday.
The police’s Wesley Twigg says the victim sustained multiple injuries.
“Philippi police were called to the crime scene where the victim was found with open wounds to her body and head. The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The motive for the attack is yet to be established. A murder case was registered for investigation. The unknown suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested.
