Three teenagers, injured in a mass shooting in Hanover Park over the weekend, are still in hospital.
Their conditions remain unchanged, as critical, and one of them has required surgery.
This incident occurred, when unknown gunmen had opened fire on a group of, mainly, teens who’d gathered for a party in Galilee Walk on Saturday.
Seven victims, aged between 14 and 18, are recovering at home.
One of the victims’ grandparents, Bieda Johnson, says the children are still traumatised by the event.
According to Jan-Jan Joubert, the spokesperson for Western Cape Police Oversight and Community Safety MEC, Anroux Marais, the incident was gang-related.
Joubert says children are increasingly becoming involved in gangsterism.
