Firefighters are gearing up for a busy fire season.
The season, seems to have started earlier this year.
Several veldfires, have already been reported in the Cape Winelands, Garden Route and Overberg regions, over the past week.
The Western Cape Disaster Management Centre’s Colin Deiner, says all regions have capabilities to deal with increased fires this summer.
He says, they’ve also requested more funding.
