Taxi mother body, Santaco wants government’s help to vet potential operators.
This is to help identify and remove dishonest individuals in the industry.
The council convened a Taxi Peace Summit, on Monday, aimed at finding ways to end violence and formalise the industry.
Santaco admits that there are both internal and external factors that cause violence.
Chairperson, Mandla Hermanus, shares some of the root causes.
He adds that they have the support of their members to end conflict.
