A taxi driver has been gunned down near Borcherds Quarry Drive in Nyanga, on Tuesday.
It’s understood that a 54-year-old man was shot inside his taxi, by someone who had boarded his taxi.
The unknown gunman fled the scene and is yet to be arrested.
Police spokesperson, Joseph Swartbooi, says the motive for the shooting is taxi related.
“Upon arrival at the crime scene, [members of Gugulethu police] found the body of a 54-year-old man – who sustained gunshot wounds to his upper body – still seated inside the taxi.
