The South African Weather Service has issued warnings of increased risk along the Garden Route district due to anticipated strong winds in the coming days.
In specific areas, a Level 8 warning was issued, at the weekend, for gale force winds ranging from 80 to 90 km/h, affecting the City of Cape Town, Drakenstein, Stellenbosch, and the western Overberg region.
Additionally, a Level 4 warning, for winds ranging from 50 to 70 km/h in the Namakwa district, as well as the central and eastern parts of the Western Cape.
