The National Sea Rescue Institute is urging the public to heed weather warnings issued by the South African Weather Service.
The Weather Service predicts rough seas along the coastline, with gale force winds contributing to hazardous inshore conditions.
NSRI spokesperson, Craig Lambinon, is appealing to the commercial maritime industry – currently at sea – to ensure all personnel wear life jackets throughout their operations.
