Social Development Minister, Sisisi Tolashe, has confirmed that investigations are underway into allegations of vulnerabilities within the SASSA SRD systems.
DSD and SASSA are presenting their findings in Parliament today.
These concerns were raised after two Stellenbosch University students discovered flaws in the application system, exposing how fraudsters are stealing ID numbers and illegally collecting grant payments each month.
Tolashe informed the Portfolio Committee that external investigators were brought in to pinpoint the issues.
