Stay safe in the water, it’s World Drowning Prevention Day!

This day raises awareness about the dangers of drowning and promotes water safety, worldwide.

World Health Organisation stats show that an estimated 236 000 people drown every year…

82 thousand of which are children aged 1 to 14.

According to the National Sea Rescue Institute that equates to a person drowning every two minutes, globally.

The NSRI’s Craig Lambinon says they have a programme that educates people on how to prevent drowning.
