Picture: Students in Antartica
Three South African students are headed to Antarctica!

Two other learners, from Ghana and Tanzania, will join them.

The five matric students are set to embark on this life-changing journey, through the Students in Antarctica initiative.

The programme, led by explorer Riaan Manser, aims to inspire the youth to tackle climate change and promote sustainability in their communities.

Several activities are planned on the icy continent, including those that encourage bold environmental action.

Manser says these students were chosen because of their potential and willingness to act for environmental change.
