In a historic and unprecedented move, South Africa’s National Budget Speech has been postponed, AT THE LAST MINUTE, due to disagreements over a proposed 2% VAT increase.
Analyst, Daniel Silke says the disagreement, which involve the ANC, DA, and possibly smaller parties, has thrown the country’s economic future into uncertainty.
He also stresses that the 2 percent increase would hurt the poor the most as they spend a larger portion of their income on basic goods…
