THE LATEST: President Cyril Ramaphosa has called on the #Afrikanerbond to get behind land reform in the country.

Addressing the organisation’s centenary celebrations in Paarl on Thursday night; Ramaphosa says the land should never have been and will not be reserved for one group of South Africans.

Previously known as the Broederbond, the Afrikanerbond was established in 1918 to look after the economic and cultural interests of Afrikaners.

Ramaphosa says the organisation has to see land expropriation not as a threat; but as an opportunity to build a more equal South African society.
