Transport unions, UNTU and SATAWU are preparing to drag PRASA to court, over the apparent breach of a wage disagreement.
PRASA says it’s unlikely to fulfil its promise to pay an increase to workers at the end of this month.
This is despite the signed assurance of a wage increase of a 5.5%.
But during Friday’s meeting, PRASA confirmed that it might not meet its obligation.
Untu’s Atenkosi Plaatjie, says action must be taken against PRASA for breaching a legal agreement.
Meanwhile, SATAWU’s Amanda Tshemese says a strike is imminent.
