A senior instructor at the police’s Philippi Training Academy, has been dismissed.
He’s accused of raping a female trainee.
The officer had been arrested in March, after the victim filed a complaint.
It’s understood that the incident had occurred in his office.
Addressing Parliament, recently, Police Minister Senzo Mchunu said that disciplinary processes had recommended the dismissal of the senior instructor.
Police Portfolio Committee Chairperson, Ian Cameron, welcomes the decision.
