Parliament’s Basic Education Portfolio Committee wants a controversial WCED tender to be scrapped.

The tender, worth R1.2 billion, was for the provision of a computer network to schools in the province.

A forensic investigation by law firm, Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr, uncovered significant irregularities involving the State Information Technology Agency.

They were all called to account to the allegations yesterday.
