Western Cape Police Ombudsman, Oswald Reddy, says they’re probing the police’s alleged failure to shutdown well-known drug dens across the province.
The decision follows a complaint filed by the DA’s member in the provincial legislature, Reagen Allen.
Reddy says the investigation is expected to look into challenges faced by the cops in dealing with the complaints about alleged drug houses.
Spokesperson, Deidré Foster, says the investigation is still in its early stage, and residents have until 20th of next month to submit their comments.
