The ANC says the Government of National Unity will go ahead with the implementation of the National Health Insurance, despite calls for a review from several political parties and the private sector.
According to the ANC, the NHI aims to provide free, quality healthcare to all South Africans.
While delivering his address in Parliament, last week, President Cyril Ramaphosa said the GNU will implement the contentious Act.
He’d also indicated that both the public and private sectors have an important role to play before the country implements it.
