National Government has extended the National State of Disaster to the 15th of April 2022.
In a short statement released on Tuesday, COGTA Minister, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, said the need remains to augment existing legislation and make contingency plans in a bid to lessen the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Dlamini-Zuma has taken this step despite a growing number of calls to scrap the National State of Disaster and to normalise the country’s response to the pandemic through existing health legislation.
