A Kalksteenfontein man accused of killing his own mother and niece will return to court in December.
On Thursday, Ashley Faro abandoned his bail bid, when he appeared in the Bishop Lavis Magistrates Court.
He was arrested last month after he allegedly killed the woman and the child at their home.
The Bishop Lavis Community Policing Forum’s Graham Lindhorst says the double murder has angered the community.
“The residents are very angry. All I hope now is that justice will be served for that mother and that small little girl.”
Meanwhile, the case of four men implicated in the deadly attack on a Bonnievale farm has been moved to the Western Cape High Court.
The men are accused of torturing Tool Wessels and his wife, Liezel, on their farm in Kapteinsdrift in May 2019.
Tool was killed, while Liezel survived.
Three of the accused were recently extradited from Lesotho, and all four of the accused will appear on 9 September 2022 for a pre-trial conference.
