The demand for paediatric care in Afghanistan, continues to stretch staff and resources to their limits.

That’s according to the international medical charity, MSF or Doctors without Borders.

The organisation says the number of children coming to the emergency room at Boost Hospital in Helmand, has more than doubled since 2020.

These kids are all under the age of 5.

April this year, saw the highest monthly number of ER consultations, in five years.

And finding the space, time and resources to treat them, has become challenging.
