Several areas around Cape Town will, again, be without water, as the City’s Water and Sanitation Directorate conducts planned maintenance work – on its infrastructure.

This time, parts of Hout Bay, Brackenfell, Claremont and Site C in Khayelitsha – will experience water supply disruptions on Thursday.

The City’s Water and Sanitation MAYCO member – Zaahid Badroodien – explains why the maintenance is necessary.

“As always we want to say thank you to our residents for their patience and their understanding. These are temporary inconveniences as we invest in our water network to make sure that we are able to secure its reliability and further make sure that our infrastructure keeps working for a long period, by so doing reducing the inconvenience to our residents”.
