The Mitchells Plain Community Police Forum is, again, calling on the police to implement short-term plans to address ongoing gang-related shootings in the area.
The forum held a public meeting, this week, in an effort to deal with the continuous violence.
At least four murders have been reported there in as many days.
Local structures want to establish their own Safety Plan, in a bid to curb gangsterism and violence.
But, that is a long-term plan.
The CPF’s Norman Jantjies says law enforcement agencies must play their part.
