Traffic congestion caused by road infrastructure projects, remains a headache for Mitchells Plain road users.
There is the rehabilitation of Jakes Gerwel Drive, while roadworks are also underway on AZ Berman Drive.
They’re expected to be completed by the second quarter of next year.
The work on the AZ Berman Drive is to expand the MyCiti network.
On Jakes Gerwel Drive, the aim is to improve the road conditions.
These improvements will, no doubt, benefit residents of Mitchells Plain and surrounding areas.
But, the projects are running simultaneously, causing massive traffic delays during peak hours.
Mayco member for Urban Mobility, Rob Quintas says this is short term pain for long term gain…..
