The Western Cape Missing Persons Unit has warned the public that kidnappers use their daily routine to target them.

Six-year-old, Shanawaaz Asghar, was kidnapped by six armed men while on his way to school in Kensington, last week Wednesday the 17th of August.

Fortunately, Shanawaaz was reunited with his family on Thursday evening,

But the perpetrators are still at large.

Head of the Unit, Candice van der Rheede, says people must switch up their daily routine as kidnappers could be watching them.

“ You must be very careful with who you share your information, and be very careful with your routine. If you normally take a walk at around 10h00, try and switch it up on other days. Never take for granted for a moment that nothing will happen to you”.
