NGO, Doctors Without Borders has added its voice on the campaigns that prevent illegal foreigners from accessing healthcare in the country.
The organisation says it’s been alerted to groups of people camping outside various hospitals and clinics.
It’s understood that they block patients from entering the healthcare facilities.
Most of these incidents have been reported in Gauteng.
MSF says it’s assessing how the blockages will impact the foreign nationals.
Director of Operational Support Unit, Claire Waterhouse, says they’re worried about pregnant women.
She adds that those with HIV, could run into further issues if they don’t get much-needed health care.
