Western Cape Education MEC David Maynier admits that the provincial government needs to speed up the building of new schools.
There’s a growing number of children who need school placements in the Cape.
Maynier has announced that more than R2.8 billion has been set aside to build and upgrade schools in 2025.
He tabled his department’s budget for the 2025/2026 financial year on Monday.
Maynier says they plan to complete 29 schools in the next three years…..
