ANC secretary general, Fikile Mbalula has slammed those calling for Senzo Mchunu to step aside from the party’s activities.

He’s been fingered in interference and corruption allegations.

KwaZulu-Natal’s police commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi implicated the Police Minister – when he recently unleashed a barrage of explosives claims.

Mchunu is currently on special leave.

But, he was in the Western Cape this weekend, as part of the ANC’s National Working Committee delegation.

The ANC’s step aside rule requires all those criminally charged to relinquish their positions in the party.

Speaking on the side-lines of Sunday’s NWC meeting, Mbalula said Mchunu remains a member of the party.
