Cape Town police are hunting for the gunmen who killed a Kraaifontein school principal.
The 54-year-old man was gunned down shortly after he arrived at Ekuthuleni Primary School, on Thursday morning.
Armed men approached his vehicle as he arrived at school.
They opened fire, killing the man while also wounding a woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle.
A second shooting near another Kraaifontein school, was also reported on Thursday.
In that incident, a 41-year-old man died.
Kraaifontein’s schooling community is reeling following the shootings.
Western Cape MEC for Police Oversight and Community Safety, Anroux Marais, is concerned.
Marais, along with Western Cape MC for Education, David Maynier, have condemned the shooting incident at Ekuthuleni Primary School.
Marais says the police are working around the clock to bring those responsible to book.
They are also appealing to the Kraaifontein community to assist the police with any information.
