Community groups in Surrey Estate in Manenberg are appealing to residents to report suspected drug dens and criminal hideouts.

Around 200 residents participated in an Anti-Drug march, on Friday.

The group says it’s identified several houses in the area that criminals use.

And it warned them to leave the area if they will continue to be involved in criminal activities.

The Surrey Estate Neighbourhood Watch’s Mogammed Tanweer Regal says he wants the police to raid those houses.

“What we expect after these marches is that our local police need to be more visible in the area, at these houses and pay more attention to these houses. Also, our community need to be more aware and give us more Intel if they see anything happening at these premises”.
