The man accused of raping an 18-month-old baby in Lwandle, Strand will appear in court again next week.
The National Prosecuting Authority’s Eric Ntabazalila says the 45-year-old appeared in the Strand Magistrates Court today.
The suspect is believed to be a pastor in the community.
Earlier today, scores of people protested at the court – believing that there were two similar cases on the roll.
But Ntabazalila says the 19-year-old man accused of raping a 12-year-old in the area, already made his first court appearance last week.
