The town has been declared a water-stressed area, due to low dam levels.
Level 4 water restrictions are now in place.
The municipality has imposed a limit on water consumption, for residents and businesses.
Knysna Municipal manager, Dr Lulamile Mapholoba, says they’re hoping for enough rain to evade a full-scale drought.
