Cape Town kidnapped businessman Ismail Rajah has been found and reunited with his family.
The 69-year-old was rescued from his captors at a house in Khayelitsha on Wednesday.
A joint operation including the police units and private security responded to an address in the township and rescued the victim.
It’s alleged that his family were on the way to Dubai to submit a ransom payment when the National Anti-Kidnapping Task Team intervened.
Rajah was allegedly kidnapped at his shop in Parow in March.
National police spokesperson Colonel Atilda Mathe says Rajah is safe and unharmed.
“The team immediately mobilised the Special Task Force (STF), Organized Crime Investigators, Crime Scene Experts, and collaborated with private security. Just after midnight on Wednesday, the team pounced on an identified address and rescued the victim. Four men, two Mozambican nationals and two South Africans between the ages of 30 and 38 years old were apprehended”.
