The National Prosecuting Authority has confirmed that David van Boven has been found guilty of murdering UWC student, Jessie Hess and her grandfather.
Judgement was handed down in the Western Cape High Court on Monday.
Van Boven was convicted on both counts of murder, two counts of robbery with aggravating circumstances, sexual assault, fraud and theft.
His co-accused, Tasliem Ambrose, was convicted on two counts of robbery with aggravating circumstances.
Hess and her grandfather, Chris Lategan, were murdered at their Parow home in August 2019.
Sentencing proceedings are set to start on the 7th of June.
