Former National Director of Public Prosecutions, advocate Menzi Simelane, says he introduced comprehensive changes, during his tenure at the NPA.
Simelane, was the last candidate to be interviewed by the advisory panel,last night.
The panel has been tasked with finding,a new NDPP, as advocate Shamila Batohi, will retire in January 2026.
Simelane served as the national director between 2010 and 2011.
He established a complaints mechanism unit, to deal with complaints against prosecutors.
Simelane says he had a problem, with the then-existing unit in the office.
Simelane says , he was shocked that the provincial heads, were not part of senior leadership of the institution.
