The Home Affairs Affairs Minister gazetted Remote Work Visitor Visa legislation, on Wednesday.
This Visa also known as Digital Nomad Visas, make provision for skilled foreigners to work in the country for an extended period of time.
This does not affect employment rates in South Africa, as they’re employed overseas.

Meanwhile, this is music to the ears of the Western Cape Government.
It sounded the alarm earlier in 2024, following a Home Affairs directive that those who’ve not received a visa extension by 23 February, should leave the country.
The province has been pushing for the visas, as they attract tourists to the Cape.
