Some Cape Town community leaders, don’t believe the inter-governmental anti-crime pact, signed a few months ago, is bearing any fruit.

In fact, serious and violent crime seems to be intensifying.

There have been an alarming number of mass killings across Cape Town in recent months.

Just under a month ago, five people were murdered and as many others wounded in a shooting in Atlantis.

A day later, four men and three women were gunned down in Bishop Lavis.

And we’ve been reporting on sporadic killings almost every day.
