Team South Africa is preparing to rake in the medals at this year’s Olympic games.
The event is being held in Paris, and runs until the 11th of August.
The country’s more than 100 gathered for a welcoming ceremony hosted by the South African Embassy on Thursday.
Ambassador, Nathi Mthethwa says the point of the occasion was to ensure our competitors feel welcomed and relaxed before they hit the big stage.
