The George Municipality remains on high alert.
This, as the Level 6 Storm Surge has made landfall.
The SA Weather warning predicts waves reaching as high as 10 metres on the south-western coast, including George’s coastal areas.
Municipality spokesperson, Ntobeko Mangqwengqwe says this poses a huge threat to infrastructure.
Mangqwengqwe says measures are in place, though, to deal with the impact of the storm.
