A Parow ward councillor believes gang violence is to blame for bodies having been dumped under a bridge in the area.
Recently, a total of three bodies were discovered there in Cloete Street.
Last month the bodies of two men – who had been stabbed – were found wrapped in blankets.
And this past Friday the body of another man was found there.
Councillor Franchesca Walker believes people outside of the Parow community are behind these incidents.
“I can clearly say that it is a gang war that’s going on, that’s infiltrating our Parow area. The Parow community are… very supportive and my thought would be that it is from outside, surrounding areas.”
Walker says there’s been a recent spike in shootings in the area, and police visibility has been stepped up as a result.
