Fuel station forecourts are expected to be busy on Tuesday, as motorists take advantage of the lower fuel prices.

A significant increase kicks in at midnight, which sees both grades of Petrol go up by R1.21 per litre, with Diesel costing R1.19 more.

95 Unleaded will cost R23.73 at the coast and R24.45  in the inland regions, whereas 93 Unleaded will rise to R24.13.

Economists say the most telling contribution to the fuel price increase is the international oil price that’s consistently been creeping up.

Our exchange rate has also weakened against the major currencies.
