Some more relief at the pumps can be expected for South African motorists from midnight on Wednesday 3 July 2024.
The price of 93 unleaded petrol will decrease by 99c a litre and 95 unleaded by R1.05c.
The changes will be implemented a day later in July, pending the swearing in of the new Minister of Petroleum, who has to sign off on the price drop.
Diesel drivers will see a fall of between 24c and 30c a litre, depending on the sulphur content.
Those using illuminating paraffin will pay 18c less per litre.
This is the second petrol price cut in recent months, owing to worldwide oil prices and the Rand/US dollar conversation rate.
