It’s been a bloody weekend in the coastal suburb of Muizenberg.

Five people have been killed in at least four separate incidents on Saturday.

While several other victims were wounded.

In one of these incidents, three young people were killed.

The shootings started with a triple murder, where two men aged 15 and 18, and a 25-year-old woman were gunned down in Hillview.

Later that afternoon, two separate drive-by shootings were reported in the Seawinds area.

In the first one, a 15-year-old boy was killed and another person injured at Woodpecker Road.

A few minutes later, unknown gunmen opened fire on a group and wounded three men in St Patrick Avenue.

Later that evening, a man was killed in Hillview.

The police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Pojie, says a 47-year-old man was shot and killed at a house in Hillview Heights.

“Allegations reveal that unknown suspects knocked at his door and upon opening the door, he was shot multiple times in the back. He succumbed to gunshot wounds on the scene. No arrests have been made yet and the motive forms part of an ongoing investigation into the murder. We appeal to anyone with information to contact Crime Stop at 08600 10111”.

Police say they can’t rule out if these shootings are gang-related, but the motive forms part of the investigation.
