Western Cape Police are searching for suspects who attacked and robbed a family on a farm in Klapmuts in the Cape Winelands.

It’s understood that a group of men entered a house in Herklaas Pilaar Road on Monday and assaulted one of the occupants.

It’s alleged that they tied up the family and fled with several items.

Provincial police spokesperson Warrant Officer  Joseph Swartbooi says no shots were fired and the victims did not sustain serious injuries.

“According to reports, one unknown armed male entered premises on a farm near Herklaas Pilaar Road at around 21:30. He threatened the occupants, two males aged 64 and 15 and a female aged 49 after which other four suspects joined the suspect. They assaulted one of the victims and tied up the three. The five unknown suspects fled the scene with valuables taken from the house in an undisclosed direction and are yet to be arrested”.
