Former Springbok coach turned politician Peter De Villiers – is without a political home.
On Monday, the GOOD Party announced its decision to fire him.
It’s linked to sexual misconduct allegations.
The GOOD Party’s National Management Committee has terminated Peter De Villiers’ party membership and removed him as a member of the Western Cape Provincial Legislature.
The decision was based on the outcome of the disciplinary hearing, which found De Villiers guilty of breaching the GOOD Party’s Constitution and Code of Conduct.
On 31 January 2024, the party received a formal complaint of sexual misconduct against the former Springbok coach.
It resulted in his suspension from party activities pending an investigation and formal disciplinary hearing.
Earlier on Monday, GOOD Deputy Secretary-General, Suzette Little, was sworn in by the Speaker of the Western Cape Provincial Legislature, Daylin Mitchell to complete this term which ends with the 29 May 2024 election.
