Two people linked to the latest mass shooting in Khayelitsha – will make another court appearance on Wednesday.
They were apprehended after 4 people were shot and killed and 7 others were wounded in the gun attack at a Site C barbershop, more than a week ago.
The duo was identified during an ID parade by one of the survivors of the attack.
Athule Mtsha and Sithisa Masiko will make their third appearance in the Khayelitsha Magistrate’s Court.
Last week, their lawyer requested a postponement in order to consult with his clients and to determine whether they intend bringing a bail application.
The State has already indicated that it will oppose any bail bids from the duo.
Both the accused have been brought before the court in relation to other criminal matters.
Mtsha has a pending vehicle theft case, while his co-accused has a pending robbery-related case
The NPA says as the investigation continues, more charges could be added.
