The man accused of killing his mother and niece in Bishop Lavis will return to court later this week.
Ashley Faro made a brief appearance in the Bishop Lavis Magistrates Court yesterday.
He was arrested in Kalksteenfontein over the weekend, after the bodies of his 65-year-old mother and 11-year-old niece were found at their home.
The Bishop Lavis Community Policing Forum’s Graham Lindhorst says they’ll closely monitor court proceedings.
“They [community members] prefer him to stay inside because it’s for his own safety. Should he come out, he will definitely be harmed. We, as the CPF, support the call that he should not be afforded bail — because you can never release a person into the community that thinks nothing to kill his own mother and his niece.”
